Couldn't tell

This product performs as advertised. It does exactly what I knew it would as I have used them before, but I ended up buying double what I needed. I wanted 4 hooks for my ironing board and by the picture it looks like there are only two in a package!

Seriously dangerous!

I was conflicted on how to review these. It took me half an hour to get them on, and it was an extremely dangerous endeavor. Had I not taken an earlier reviewer's advice to wear gloves, my hands would have been in ribbons. Yet, now that I'm done, I do have a nice tight ironing board cover that I'm convinced will not slide off. It really seems to do the trick, but I just think they could have made the springs a bit longer and still have achieved the required tightness without risking giant fish hooks embedded in your hands. Or they could have designed them better, such that there's something to hold onto aside from the actual hooks (I had a few close calls where the hooks actually dug through my gloves while trying to stretch them to the other side of the board). So in spite of the fasteners working like a charm once installed, I think the danger factor warrants two stars off a perfect score. Good luck to anyone who wants to try them, and definitely wear the sturdie st gloves you can find.

Love these clips

I had a set of these clips which have survived multiple ironing board covers over about 25 years. They produce a nice tight cover. They do take some muscle to attach when they are new. After 25 years, they are somewhat rusty and stretched out so I'm delighted I can buy another pair.
