3Fits, but!
By Yorkie Artist
This oversized ironing board cover is hard to find and also can't be picked up in my local store. This cover is a perfect fit for an odd sized ironing board; however, the fabric is not that great nor is the string tightener attached to it. It works and will be fine. It also has no pad ... but not expected for the price.

I made a pattern with pattern pelon of this cover while it was new and flat before putting on the ironing board. Then, I cut out on a much better quality fabric that had a nice sewing room print (thread, bobbins, etc) on it and was quilted and I used elastic in lieu of the string to tighten ... all of which made it much more durable. While the cover was removed. I cut out a pattern of the ironing board top and made my own pad (a thickness suitable for me) and now I have a very nice cover and pad. While I was at it I made a second one to use when I removed the first one for ironing. Now, I keep the original and my pattern for any future co vers in case they become hard to find again.

I don't know about anyone else, but to me all the pads flatten over time and I just keep adding a new one on top of the old one. Now, with this pattern I can adjust the thickness for my applications and needs. Also, ironing board covers are not always that pleasing in both quality and pattern, this way, one can be made to suit the sewing room if your board is up most of the time.

Something to think about anyway.
